A courageous spirit and mother of two, Lynn Sage was diagnosed with breast cancer at the early age of 34, leaving behind her family and friends at the age of 39. Dedicated to her strong will and charismatic personality, the Lynn Sage Foundation was founded by her family, who have been raising funds for breast cancer research for over twenty years. Dedicated to finding a cure, the Lynn Sage Foundation, a world-class philanthropic organization, is proud to announce its third annual Chicago's In Good Taste campaign in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Beginning October 1, 2010, Chicago's In Good Taste campaign will commence and run throughout the entire month.

The foundation will bring together over 150 Chicago restaurants, bars and businesses to raise funds for research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. When dining at participating restaurants and frequenting local businesses, patrons can choose to donate money to the Lynn Sage Foundation by adding one dollar or more to their bill. This year's participants include local restaurants such as the Purple Pig, Stanley's, Hot Chocolate, Lawry's and last year's highest fundraiser, Eleven City Diner, as well as businesses like Spacio and Twinkle Twinkle Little Ones.

One hundred percent of the funds raised throughout the month of October will go directly to breast cancer care, education and research by Northwestern scholars at the Cancer Center. Under the direction of Dr. Steven T. Rosen, the center's well-established program in breast cancer research is fortified by a state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot research facility, providing a revolutionary space for finding a cure.

Lynn's family is very grateful to have the support of a Board of over 25 friends helping with the Chicago's In Good Taste campaign. Choosing to support the world's most comprehensive breast cancer research center, every year the foundation pledges to raise at least $100,000 to benefit a Lynn Sage scholar.

A simple, fun and entertaining way to get involved, Chicago's In Good Taste allows patrons a hassle free way to support the cause while enjoying some of the city's best restaurants and businesses. Join the organization this October as the city of Chicago unites to support the 190,000 women that will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
