Light Opera Works Announces Fall 2013 Kids Classes

Light Opera Works is currently taking enrollments for the new "Showstoppers" musical theater classes for kids, to be held Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 5:30 pm, October 2 through December 11 (no classes October 30, November 6 or 27). No audition is required.

Young people ages 10 to 15 will learn vocals and choreography for four major show-stopping numbers from THE WIZ, HAIR, WEST SIDE STORY and HAIRSPRAY. Then they perform the numbers for family and friends on December 13, at 7:00 pm.

Choreographer is Caryn Ott Hillman and musical director is Christopher Richard, both veterans of the Light Opera Works Musical Theater Workshops for kids.

"Showstoppers" classes and final performance are held at the Light Opera Works rehearsal center, 516 4th Avenue in Wilmette. The fee is $300 per student. Register online atwww.LightOperaWorks.com/fall-kids-classes.html or by phone (847) 920-5360.
