16th Street Theater presents the world premiere of Will Dunne's Love and Drowning, now through October 27, 2012 at 6420 16th Street in Berwyn, with a press opening tonight, September 27 at 7:30 PM.  Artistic Director Ann Filmer directs.  Love and Drowning is the final offering in 16th Street's Season Five 2012: Love, Faith and the Unknown.

Ella and Hank Harding have drowned. Or have they? After a boating accident that left them both clinically dead, the resuscitated couple now find themselves at a strange remote institute where life isn't what it used to be. An ode to Chekhov, Beckett, and Rod SerlingLove and Drowning explores the phenomenon of near-death experience and its impact on people's lives. 2012 playwright-in-residence Will Dunne is the author of The Ascension of Carlotta which premiered at 16th Street in Season One 2008.

Featuring Molly Henry as Ella (of Steppenwolf's Orange Flower Water), Malcolm Callan (The Beats), Cat Dean (Stage Left's Kingsville), Vincent Lonergan (member of Signal Ensemble Theatre), and Andy Lutz (of Chicago DramatistsBlizzard '67).

With designs by Associate Artists Kurt Sharp (Scenic), Barry Bennett (Sound) Mac Vaughey (Lights), and Jesse Gaffney (Props).  With Crystal Jovae Mazur (Costumes).
