Jackalope to Welcome Andrew Saenz & Ron Turner to Cast for EXIT STRATEGY Extension
Jackalope has announced the full casting for the extension of its hit production of Ike Holter's Exit Strategy, running July 30 - August 29, 2014 at Broadway Armory Park, 5917 N Broadway. Tickets are available via www.jackalopetheatre.org.
Joining original cast member Pat Whalen, Lucy Sandy, Jerry MacKinnon, Barbara Figgins, and Paloma Nozicka, are Andrew Saenz in the role of Luce, and Ron Turner in the role of Arnold.
EXIT STRATEGY is written by Ike Holter, recently named Chicago Magazine's Best Emerging Playwright, and directed by founding Jackalope company member Gus Menary.
Andrew L. Saenz's (Luce) Chicago credits include Ithaka (InFusion Theatre Company), Ephebophilia (The Phebe Project), Blood and Gifts (TimeLine Theatre), Buzz 22-Hour Theatre (Buzz 22 Chicago), As You Like It ((re)discover theatre) and Hellcab (Profiles Theatre). Television credits include Chicago P.D. (NBC) and Sirens (USA Network).
Ron Turner's (Arnold) Chicago credits include Gypsy, Comedy of Errors, Princess and the Pea and Amadeus (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Pride and Prejudice (Northlight Theater), and The Crucible (Steppenwolf Theater). Film credits include Set-up (Lionsgate). Television credits include Sirens (USA Network).
From the acclaimed writer of Hit the Wall and Loom, comes the story of a Chicago public high school slated for closure at the end of the year. The impending shut-down causes tensions in the school's already volcanic neighborhood to rise to the breaking point, but a small group of teachers launch a last minute battle to save the school. Over the course of the year, they put their careers, their future and their safety in the hands of a fast talking administrator who comes on strong: but might actually have no clue what he's doing.
