INCOMPLETE ACTS AND RANDOM KINDNESS Opens In Chicago 4/16

By:

Joey seeks a connection with his father, with a troubled teenager and with Marvin Gaye's life, as he drifts through East London following the loss of his mother. A poetic string of 39 memories by award-winning UK playwright David Eldridge form this 95-minute one-act set during the build up to the Iraq War, Incomplete and Random Acts of Kindness made its debut in May 2005 at the Royal Court Theater in London. This workshop production marks the US premiere of the work as Eldridge's reputation continues to grow as one of British theater's most gifted young writers. The West End run of "Under The Blue Sky" has won much acclaim this year, as well as recent original work and two Ibsen translations for the Donmar Warehouse.

The cast features Ensemble members Joseph McCauley and Eustace Allen and includes Brandon Boler, Stacie Doublin, Jill Gabel, Dennis Newport, Skye Shrum, and Jon Stutzman. Sound design by Artistic Home Associate James Murray, lighting design by AH Associate Lisa Wewerka, scenic design by Jeff-award nominee and After Dark award winner Chelsea Meyers.

The Artistic Home Studio Theater, 3914 N. Clark St., Chicago (at Clark and Byron, 1 block south of Irving Park Blvd.)
