Gorilla Tango Theatre Announces $500 STAND UP THING, 8/6-27

This August, thirty comedians, many of whom are new to stand up, will compete in Gorilla Tango Theatreís third $500 Stand-Up Thing! The $500 STAND UP THING performs Mondays at 9pm, August 6-27, 2012 at Gorilla Tango Theatre in Bucktown (1919 N. Every Monday in August at 9pm, Gorilla Tango Theatre will ask voters to determine which Chicago Stand-Up comedian should win $500, three Big Hot Dogs (7 pounds each! we're serious - www.bighotdog.com for more info) and their very own showcase at the Gorilla Tango Theatre. Comedians will compete in three survival-of-the-fittest style rounds with audience votes determining who advances each night. The first rounds will take place August 6th and 13th, with the top 6 performers from each night advancing to the third round on August 20. The top 6 comedians from the third round will then advance to the final round on August 27th and onto riches, fame, and 100% veal and beef goodness!
