Gift Theatre Presents William Nedved's FACT & FICTION May 24-26

By:

The Gift Theatre Company will host a limited engagement presentation of co-founder William Nedved's Fact & Fiction - which enjoyed a critically-acclaimed, sold-out run at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival - for five performances Thursday, May 24th at 7:30pm; Friday, May 25th at 7:30pm and 10:00pm; and Saturday, May 26th at 7:30pm and 10:00pm. Tickets are $20.

Fact & Fiction is a genre-defying double-monologue that uses stand-up comedy, documentary theatre, and multimedia to explore how we tell true-ish tales about ourselves.

In Fact, William Nedved recollects his year in Brazil as a high school exchange student – the worst exchange student ever. In Fiction, Adam Silver recounts being stalked from Chicago to Los Angeles by an autobiographical filmmaker.

William Nedved is the co-founder of The Gift Theatre, where his play Northwest Highway premiered last season. Other full-length works include Not Fade Away (Blank Theatre's Living Room Series), A Young Man in Pieces and County Fair (The Gift.) His short play Kid was awarded "Best Production" at Collaboraction's Sketchbook 2009. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Iowa, an MA in Theatre Studies from the University of New South Wales – Sydney, and an MFA in Film and Television Writing from the University of Southern California. Television: Community, Californication, Torchwood. Adam received his degree in Cultural Studies and Anthropology from Columbia College Chicago. IAmAdamSilver.com
