Genesis Theatrical Productions to Present JIHAD, 7/5-8/2

Genesis Theatrical Productions will present the world premiere of "Jihad" by Stephanie Liss at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont. The show will run July 5-August 2.

"Jihad" takes a powerful and unflinching look at the struggle between Israel and the members of Hamas and shows the effects of suicide bombing on Israelis and Palestinians.

Featured in the show are Noor Hamdi, Mark Plonsky, Tricia Roberts and Lily Sauvage. The play is a greatly reworked and updated script based on "On Holy Ground" which the theater presented in workshop form in 2014. The play is directed by Elayne LeTraunik.

"Jihad" will be presented Thursdays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 8:45pm and Sundays at 2 and 5pm. There are no shows on Friday nights. Tickets are $30 with discounts for students, seniors and groups of 10 or more. Discounted tickets also available on Goldstar.
