Genesis Ensemble Announces Second Extension of THE REST UNKNOWN
By: Harmony Wheeler
Genesis Ensemble, a Chicago theater and performance company, announces the second extension of The Rest Unknown: how to live and how to die inspired by Maira Kalman's idiosyncratic blog turned book The Principles of Uncertainty.
From its original run and first extension, Genesis Ensemble has taken over three storefronts in Jefferson Park and lead the curious on a tour of art, performance, and bundt cake. Artistic Director Lindsey Barlag Thornton explains, "With the success of tours like CST's En Route and promenade pieces by companies like the Neo Futurists and Dog & Pony we decided to combine these ideas and create a jaunt that suggests what might happen if we all slowed down and looked at the details of life through the lens of whimsy and wonder."Because each tour is limited to an intimate number of only twelve people and due to enthusiastic community response, The Rest Unknown is now playing 9 more times.email genesis.ensemble@gmail.com
