Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons Perform At The Historic Auditorium Theatre Today American music icons Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons take the Auditorium Theatre stage on Saturday, November 3 at 8PM. The performance is preceded by the Auditorium Theatre's Annual Fall Gala, which this year honors Auditorium Theatre board member and Chair Emeritus Mel Katten with the third annual Adler & Sullivan Award for his commitment to the Auditorium and the performing arts.

"We cannot wait for the legendary Frankie Valli to return to the Auditorium as part of our Annual Fall Gala celebration, performing some of the classic songs that were heard on our landmark stage more than 40 years ago," says Rachel Freund, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Auditorium Theatre. "And how fitting that on this same evening we will honor Mel Katten, whose steadfast dedication to the Auditorium and to the performing arts around Chicago has made an invaluable impact on the city's cultural scene for many years."

Frankie Valli's incredible career with The Four Seasons, as well as his solo success, has spawned countless hit singles - from the timeless "December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)" to the infectious "Sherry" to the effortlessly cool title song for the film Grease - and made an impact on influential musicians like The Bee Gees, Brian Wilson, and Billy Joel. This performance marks Valli's return to the Auditorium Theatre's landmark stage after 41 years.

Valli has remained at the forefront of American music since he began performing in the 1950s. He and The Four Seasons became overnight sensations in the 1960s after performing "Sherry" on American Bandstand and sold more than 100 million records between 1962 and 1978. The group's chart-topping songs, including "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," "Big Girls Don't Cry," and "Walk Like a Man," have been covered by artists such as Lauryn Hill, Barry Manilow, and Fiona Apple, among others. Valli's real-life story became the basis for the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys, which premiered on Broadway in 2005 and has toured nationally and around the world.

The Auditorium Theatre Annual Fall Gala precedes the performance with a Gala Reception, Dinner, and Awards Presentation at the Palmer House. Katten, a founding partner of the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, will be honored with the third annual Adler & Sullivan Award, which was established in 2016 to recognize the dedication and support of members of the Auditorium Theatre community. Katten served as Chairman of the Auditorium Theatre Board of Directors from 2002-2015, and remains on the Board as Chairman Emeritus. Proceeds from the gala benefit the theatre's restoration and preservation efforts, and support the theatre's local, national, and international programming.
