Fox Valley & Tri City Health Collect Donations During Moonlight & Magnolias

By:

Fox Valley Repertory has partnered with the Tri City Health Partnership of St. Charles to collect donations during Moonlight and Magnolias performances to help provide primary care to those residents who are uninsured, low income and unable to pay for medical services. Patrons will have the opportunity to contribute to the cause after each performance, now taking place at the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage through March 11, 2012 (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; box office 630-584-6342).

Tri City Health Partnership (TCHP) is the only free medical clinic in central Kane County who provides primary care to those unable to pay for medical services. Care is delivered by a small staff, assisted by local medical professionals who donate the gift of time and talents to provide needed services. TCHP is a private community clinic that operates on donations and grants from local trusts and foundations, service clubs, churches, 708 boards, United Ways and individual, city or township contributions. The clinic is not federally funded, nor does it depend on government funding. Since opening the doors 10 years ago, TCHP has provided 15, 600 on site medical visits to more than 2,940 local residents. These numbers do not include the many visits provided to clinic patients by local specialists, surgery centers and the hospital for care outside the scope of TCHP.

When patrons come to Fox Valley Rep to celebrate the comedy behind the making of "Gone With The Wind" titled Moonlight and Magnolias, they will have a chance to contribute to this cause after the show.

Proceeds will also benefit the Performing Arts Academy students so that they can have continued opportunities to explore their lives through the performing arts. One of the many ways FVR helps students is through their scholarship programs, helping local aspiring performers in financial need.

Moonlight and Magnolias is now playing through Sunday, March 11, 2012. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. Thursday performances are available on January 19 and 26 at 8pm; and February 2 and 16 at 2pm. The show is rated PG-13 due to strong language and those with peanut allergies should be advised that peanuts/peanut shells are used during the performance. Tickets are priced at $32 on Fridays (and limited Thursday performances), and at $42 on Saturdays and Sundays. Dinner packages, group rates and overnight packages are also available.

Pheasant Run Resort is located at 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL. For tickets, call the Pheasant Run Box Office at 630-584-6342 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
