We're off to see the Wizard! Director Lydia Milman Schmidt of Fox Valley Repertory and the Youth Ensemble take you to a place Somewhere Over the Rainbowwhen you Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Pheasant Run Mainstage from today, July 20-28, 2013.

Join Dorothy on her adventure over the rainbow to Munchkinland. Take a stroll down the yellow brick road with Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion on their quest to see the Wizard. Just watch out for flying monkeys and Wicked Witches!

The Wizard of Oz, rated G, will be presented on Saturdays, July 20 & 27 at 10:30am; Sundays, July 21 & 28 at 7:00pm on the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults.

At each performance, The Wizard of Oz cast will be selling yellow bricks for $5 to assist with the ongoing programs at Fox Valley Repertory. The yellow bricks will be displayed in the Pheasant Run Mainstage Lobby and it is the Academy's hope that they can build a full yellow brick road to Oz! Bricks can also be purchased through any of the cast members of The Wizard of Oz and the Pheasant Run Resort Box Office, as well as at local retailers, Sensible Threadz and Biggby Coffee in St. Charles.

The Wizard of Oz features Music & Lyrics of the MGM motion pictures score by Harold Arien and E.Y. Harburg ; book by L. Frank Baum & adapted by Frank Gabrielson; background music by Herbert Stothart.

The Fox Valley Repertory Youth Ensemble is an exclusive, audition only program for the best and the brightest young talent. The Fox Valley Repertory Performing Arts Academy is a non-profit organization and features some of the Chicago area's most respected teaching artists.
