Fox Valley Rep Academy Offers Teen Acting Class 2/1/11

The Fox Valley Rep Performing Arts Academy (formerly Noble Fool Theatricals Academy) is excited to offer an intensive Master Class for serious teens looking to pursue theater professionally. Chicago's industry professionals are coming together for a 6-week class beginning February 1, 2011 at Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; admin telephone 630-443-0438).
Each class will be taught by a different industry professional that will concentrate on a specific discipline: Singing, Monologues, Theatre Auditions, Improvisation, Cold Reading and On-Camera Auditions. Guest instructors include successful Music Director Bonnie Shadrake, Michael McCracken of Shirley Hamilton Agency, Becca Knights of Simon Casting, The Second City's Jack Bronis, Casting Director Matt Miller of TPR Casting, and Fox Valley Rep's Artistic Director John Gawlik."This is a rare chance for local teens to learn from the industry professionals who not only have the real-life experience to teach and guide them, but the knowledge to get them started working professionally," says Fox Valley Rep Education Manager Tracy Whiteside.Students will be required to prepare materials in advance to get the most out of each class. Participants will receive individualized attention within the group setting. Each class member will be critiqued and given honest feedback while learning the skills needed to succeed in the business. Classes will include mock auditions.
