The Forks & Hope Ensemble has opened A Hero's Journey at Jackalope's Frontier in Edgewater.

This ensemble devised show uses Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey" theory to explore humanity's impulse to tell and re-tell stories of mythological heroes. Using Forks & Hope's trademark playful, movement-based aesthetic, each performer goes on their own heroic journey, which reveals parallels to their own lives. Audience members can expect to meet epic characters like Odysseus, King Sejong, and Psyche on a human scale in an intimate, imaginative setting.
