EEK! Theatre Company to Bring 'SCHLOCKTOBERFEST' to Gorilla Tango, 10/3

EEK! Theatre Company returns with their Halloween comedy/variety showcase "Schlocktoberfest: A Killer Komedy Show". The single performance is Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at 7:30pm at Gorilla Tango Theatre, 1919 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL, 60642. Tickets are $15. EEK! Theatre Company, the producers of the annual "Marijuanarama!" comedy showcase, bring you an evening of sinister satire and ghoulish guffaws with "Schlocktoberfest! A Killer Komedy Show." Featuring brand new sketches parodying The Amityville Horror, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Friday the 13th, stand-up comedy from Casey Freund and Ken Palmer, and the usual brand of off-color antics you can always expect from EEK! Theatre, "Schlocktoberfest" is a bloody funny showcase that would KILL you to miss!

EEK! Entertainment has been showcasing their unique brand of acerbic comedy in Chicago for over five years. Their annual variety show 'Marijuanarama!' has performed for sold out shows every 4/20. They've also recently branched out into other seasonal variety 'A Very Merry Mother-F@#$ing Christmas' and 'Summer Schlock'. In spring of 2015 they released their first feature film 'I HATE THEATRE!' to the public in both theatrical and extended cuts (available for viewing on Vimeo), and 2016 will see the release of their second feature, the mockumentary 'An Intervention'. Gorilla Tango Theatre (GTT) is a year-round theatrical venue where audiences of all ages can consistently go to see a wide variety of talented artists. GTT exists to provide artists with an opportunity to produce their work in professional environment. GTT was created by Second City- and IO-Chicago-trained Dan Abbate and boasts an 88-seat performance space. GTT Chicago is conveniently located at the intersection of Western and Milwaukee in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood. Easily accessible by public transportation, GTT is steps away from the Western Blue Line stop and the #49 Western, #73 Armitage and #56 Milwaukee buses. Street parking is readily available. With shows for both children and adults, all GTT performances are on a rating system, similar to the one used in movie theatres. GTT offers a variety of affordable beer and wine for purchase.
