Drury Lane Theatre Presents Glenn Miller Orchestra, 5/21-22

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is set to take the stage for two performances only on  Monday, May 21 at 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane.  For almost 75 years, the Glenn Miller Orchestra has performed before millions of music fans throughout the world.

Originally formed in 1938 by Glenn Miller, the Glenn Miller Orchestra was arranged around a clarinet and tenor saxophone playing melody, while three other saxophones played the harmony. The band’s top ten hits included classics such asMoonlight SerenadeIn the MoodTuxedo JunctionChattanooga Choo Choo, Over the Rainbow, Blueberry Hill, That Old Black Magic, A String of Pearls, and (I've Got a Gal In) Kalamazoo.  After Miller’s death in 1944, the band continued to tour and record.  The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates a year all around the world.  In 2003, Miller posthumously received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The performance schedule is as follows: Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m. on both days.  Lunch is available for an additional $16 preceding the performance. Concert tickets range from $50-55 for each performance.
