All right, all you culture vultures constantly complaining that live theater is too expensive: you have officially lost your excuse.

For one night, anyway.

Broadway in Chicago is presenting a free sneak peek at much of their upcoming season on Aug. 6 at 6:15 p.m. in the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park.

The highlight of the evening will no doubt be a performance by actress and recording legend Cyndi Lauper. She is expected to perform a song or two from her brand new musical "Kinky Boots." The show will have its world premiere in Chicago on Oct. 2.

Although Broadway in Chicago was tight-lipped about the set-list for the free concert, Broadway World was able to obtain a list of which shows are set to perform:

  1. National Anthem – Meadow Nguy and Nathan Salstone, Illinois High School Musical Award Recipients
  2. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET
  3. War Horse
  4. PETER PAN
  5. THE VERONA PROJECT (American Music Theatre Project at Northwestern University)
  6. POTTED POTTER
  7. PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT
  8. I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE
  9. LES MISERABLES
  10. A Tribute to the Centennial of the Nederlander Organization
  11. CINDERELLA (Emerald City Theatre)
  12. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN
  13. SISTER ACT
  14. KINKY BOOTS

One obvious ommission? The boys from "The Book of Mormon." Theatergoers will have to wait until that show opens Dec. 11 to say "Hello" to the Mormon lads.

No tickets are required but space is at a first-come basis.
