Columbia College Chicago Presents THE SHIPMENT, 3/14-24
By: Harmony Wheeler
THE SHIPMENT is a Black Identity Politics show that combs through the images of African-Americans that dominate the media. Wielding sharp, offbeat humor, it points up the clichés, distortions and absurdities, turning the wearily familiar – a foul-mouthed stand-up comic, a drug dealer, a would-be rapper – into loopy, arch cartoons.
