Circle Theatre Sets Cast & Creative Team for Chicago Premiere of 35MM
35MM: A Musical Exhibition by Ryan Scott Oliver. A picture is worth 1,000 words - what about a song? Can a picture inspire a song or fifteen? In 35MM, each photo creates an unique song, moments frozen in time; a glimmer of a life unfolding, a glimpse of something happening. A stunning new multimedia musical which explores a groundbreaking new concept in musical theatre, this intricately woven collection of stories told through song re-imagines what the modern American musical can be.
The cast includes Caleb Baze (October Sky, Marriott Lincolnshire; A Marvin Hamlisch Songbook, Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre), Tony Carter (We Gotta Bingo, Chicago Theater Works), Michelle Lauto (The Boy From Oz, Pride Films and Plays; Murder Ballad, Bailiwick Chicago), Neil Stratman* (Dogfight, Boho Theatre; The Who's Tommy, Paramount Theatre), Liz Bollar (The Boy From Oz, Pride Films and Plays; Hair, American Theatre Company), with performer standby's Sara Reinecke (Hairspray, Little Theatre on the Square), Joseph Alvey (Legally Blonde, Dominican University), and Jacob Gilchrist (Barney the Elf, The Other Theatre Co.).
The production team includes Cameron Turner (Director/Choreographer), Ryan Brewster (Music Director), Jimmy Jagos (Set Designer, BroadwayWorldChicago.com nomination for Triassic Parq), Margi Hazlett (Costume Supervisor), and Bobby Arnold* & Nicholas Reinhart* (Producers). Other production team members to be announced at a later date.
