Carlo Lorenzo Garcia to Exit Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.
Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. confirmed today that Carlo Lorenzo Garcia, the company's acting Producing Director, will step down following the conclusion of the 25th season on August 11th.
During his five seasons as Producing Director, he helped produced highly acclaimed productions such as Superior Donuts & The Glass Menagerie, both of which had successful remounts; he directed the Jeff award winning Red Light Winter & Our Bad Magnet and acted in How To Disappear Completely and Never Be Found & Cherrywood, directed by David Cromer.
"Mary-Arrchie Theatre has been an artistic home for me for the past 7 years and leaving Chicago is a very bittersweet moment for me, but I've always had Rich's support in everything I do," Garcia said. "Richard Cotovsky has been a great mentor and allowed me the opportunity to grow as an artist and producer these past 5 years and am eternally grateful for Mary-Arrchie and proud of all the work we've accomplished together"
Carlo will be shifting his focus to acting & directing, as he will be filming 3 films in Chicago this Summer/Fall and then heading out to Los Angeles to continue his work on the west coast. Carlo will remain with Mary-Arrchie as an ensemble member moving forward.
