Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE) continues its 25th Anniversary Season with BTE Associate Artistic Director Amelia Barrett's staging of Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom's "Tuesdays with Morrie" at the MAC at College of DuPage, tonight, May 4 through May 27.

Based on the 1997 best-selling book, "Tuesdays with Morrie" features Melrose Park's Michael Sassone* as Morrie Schwartz, an eccentric Brandeis University sociology professor ailing from Lou Gehrig's disease, and guest artist Chicagoan Carl Lindberg as Schwartz's former student, Mitch Albom. This work chronicles their weekly visits as Schwartz mentors Albom with valuable life lessons from the perspective of a man in the twilight of his life. Toronto.com says "'Tuesdays With Morrie' is only 80 minutes long, but I guarantee it will make you laugh, cry, think and feel, all in that limited time span."

The design team for BTE's production of "Tuesday's with Morrie" includes Glen Ellyn's own Amelia Barrett* (director), Aurora's Michael Moon* (scenic and lighting design), Westmont's Galen Ramsey* (sound and properties design) and Chicago's Allison Greaves Amidei* (hair/makeup design). Equity Stage Manager is Chicago's David A. Loranca; Bolingbrook's Kyle Rearick is Assistant Stage Manager.

Performances of "Tuesdays with Morrie" are Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $33. $2 discounts are available for non-COD students and seniors age 60 and over. For more information, call the MAC Ticket Office at (630) 942-4000, or purchase tickets online at www.AtTheMAC.org.
