British Actor And Cabaret Artist Tim McArthur To Make Chicago Debut At Pride Arts Center

British West End musical theatre actor and international cabaret artist Tim McArthur will make his debut in Chicago at Pride Arts Center on March 11 and 12 after appearing at Feinstein's/54 Below in New York on March 5. McArthur will present two shows at the Pride Arts Center - SONDHEIM'S DIVAS on Sunday, March 11 and MOUNTAINS - A MUSICAL ADVENTURE on March 12. Both performances will be in The Broadway, at 4139 N. Broadway, Chicago. Tickets are $20-$25 for each show and will be on sale soon at www.pridefilmsandplays.com

Sondheim aficionado Tim McArthur performs a classic evening of the leading ladies' songs from Sondheim's greatest musicals. For the past 18 months Tim has been hosting and performing Cabaret Nights for the Sondheim Society. Each month performing various songs from Sondheim's varied catalogue Tim was inspired to relook at all of the leading ladies' songs in his shows with a gender retake on them.

Recounting his journey from starting out in the big old world to establishing a career in British Theatre from performing, directing and presenting - an evening of stories, anecdotes, all delivered with humor, wit and panache. With Tim performing classics such as "Before the Parade Passes By" to "She Used to Be Mine" and a few hidden theatrical gems, this show is a musical journey of a 40-year-old's journey through time, life experiences, challenges and courage.
