Author Louis Sachar To Kick Off HOLES: 10th ANNIVERSARY EDITION
Book Tour at Adventure Stage Chicago on Sunday, October 19 at 7pm

Adventure Stage Chicago is thrilled to welcome award-winning HOLES novelist Louis Sachar for the first stop of his HOLES: 10th ANNIVERSARY EDITION book tour on Sunday, October 19 at 7pm.
 
Mr. Sachar will read a selection from his book HOLES, answer questions from the audience and sign readers' copies of the novel. This event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend, but space is limited. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Adventure Stage Chicago box office at 773-342-4141. 
 
Adventure Stage Chicago will present the stage adaptation of Louis Sachar's HOLES from November 16 - December 13, 2008.
 
The novel HOLES was bestowed with numerous accolades and awards after its 1998 release, including the Newbery Medal and National Book Award (the only book ever to win both honors), and was a fixture on The New York Times bestseller list for over 150 weeks. In 2003, Louis Sachar penned the screen adaptation of HOLES, which was released by Disney as a major motion picture starring Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight and Sigourney Weaver. HOLES: THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION includes an excerpt from the HOLES screenplay and commentary by Louis Sachar. Mr. Sachar is the author of over 20 fiction and educational books for children, including Sideways Stories from Wayside School, There's a Boy in the Girls' BathroomSmall Steps.
 
This event is hosted by Adventure Stage Chicago at Vittum Theater, 1012 N. Noble St., in the heart of Chicago's West Town neighborhood. Free parking is available, and the theater is close to the Noble St. stop on the #56 Milwaukee bus line and the Division stop on the CTA Blue Line. The theater is wheelchair accessible.
