Ross Tedford Kendall's smart and uncompromising examination of the relationship between an ambitious US Attorney and her violently rebellious niece won the audience vote at Artemisia's 2012 Fall Festival of Staged Readings. This world premiere will open for an exclusive, limited run on November 8, 2013, at Signal Ensemble Theatre in Chicago. Julie Proudfoot will direct Suzanne Petri and Miriam Reuter in this entertaining, insightful two-hander where a masterful game of chess pits generation against generation. Scandalous secrets, hotly debated legal arguments and a painful family history bring out the best and worst in two unconventional women. It's a battle to the end that you don't want to miss.

Gambit will preview for the press and invited audience on November 7, 2013, at 8:00 pm, and will run November 8, 2013, through November 24, 2013 at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 Berenice Avenue, Chicago. Showtimes are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now at artemisiatheatre.org.
