Andrew Damer to Join Allied Live

Laura Matalon, President Allied Live, announced today that Andrew Damer will be joining the company's Touring Division as a Senior Marketing Director. In this role Damer will take a prominent role in the engagement management of various touring properties including Billy Elliot the Musical, the upcoming tour of ELF and other accounts. Damer will be based in the Washington, DC office where he will also provide guidance and support to the agency's East Coast clients.

"Andrew brings extensive experience developing and managing integrated marketing campaigns for a variety of Broadway, national and international theatrical engagements and entertainment events," said Matalon. "He's a perfect addition to our touring team."

Damer m ost recently served as the Senior Client Account Executive for aka New York where he managed campaigns for SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK, THE BOOK OF MORMON and many others. Before joining aka, he served as the Marketing Director for Broadway In Chicago where he managed the nearly three-year run of JERSEY BOYS and ten-month national tour launch of Billy Elliot THE MUSICAL, as well as many other resident, pre-Broadway and touring productions at five downtown theaters. He has worked with many of Broadway's most respected producers and served as Marketing Manager for The Chicago Theatre and Hollywood's Kodak Theatre. Damer developed and taught an original practicum course, Marketing for Commercial Theatre, for Northwestern University's School of Communication. He holds a B.A. in Theatre from Emerson College (Boston) and an M.B.A. in International Business and Marketing from Loyola University Chicago.
