Akvavit Theatre to Present A SUMMER'S DAY, AUTUMN DREAM and WINTER, 2/28-3/24
Chicago Cultural Center will present a "triptych of plays" by Jon Fosse from Chicago's Akvavit Theatre, featuring A Summer's Day, Autumn Dream and Winter. All performances take place at the Storefront Theater, 72 E. Randolph, Chicago, Ill., February 28- March 24, 2013. There is one preview performance on February 27.
These plays by Norwegian playwright Jon Fosse are closely related, with overlapping characters and themes, but are not meant to be concurrent as with a "trilogy". Fosse's works are recognized as subtle depictions of hard truths about the human condition, transcending the locales and settings of each while speaking to the larger issues of our times.
