'A Christmas Carol' to Play at Drury Lane Oakbrook Starting 11/20

By:

A popular holiday tradition entertaining hundreds of children and families each year is back once again this Christmas season at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace.  The presentation of the timeless classic A Christmas Carol opens November 20 and runs through December 20 at 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, 60181.  In addition to a performance from a cast of top Chicago actors, Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace offers families the special opportunity to have breakfast or dinner with Santa Claus on select performance dates.  Featuring a festive buffet style menu complete with holiday favorites, these events are a wonderful way to introduce children to the arts.

A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly old man, who receives a Christmas Eve visit from the ghost of his partner, Jacob Marley, warning him to mend his selfish ways. During the night three spirits appear before Scrooge, showing him visions of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future, finally revealing the possible results of his unloving, uncaring life.
