2011 Eclipse Corona Award To Be Presented To Erica Daniels November 6
Eclipse Theatre is proud to announce Erica Daniels, Associate Artistic Director of Steppenwolf Theatre Company as the recipient of their Third Annual Corona Award.
Eclipse's Corona Award honors an individual who has played an important role in supporting and nurturing the growth of Eclipse Theatre Company, as well as the entire Chicago theatre community. The 2009 Corona Award was given to legendary Chicago casting director Jane Alderman and the 2010 award was given to Timeline Theatre's Managing Director, Elizabeth K. Auman.
The Corona award derives its name from the outer atmosphere of the sun most easily seen during a total Eclipse. The Latin root of the word means crown.
The presentation of the Corona Award will include guest speakers Adam Belcuore (Casting Director, Goodman Theatre), Bob Mason (Casting Director, Chicago Shakespeare), and Martha Lavey (Artistic Director, Steppenwolf Theatre) in addition to other speakers yet to be announced.
The ceremony will be held at The Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.
An assortment of light appetizers and cash bar will be offered during the evening as well as a silent auction. Items will include a headshot session with Photographer Scott Cooper, an Act One Studios seminar, a personal customized built Actor Website, acupuncture & massage sessions, and more.
Cocktail hour will begin at 6pm with the award presentation following at 7pm.
