Lee Street Theatre Announces Grand Opening of New Performing Arts Center and First Show ALLTHE GREAT BOOKS (ABRIDGED)

By:

Lee Street theatre is proud to announce that they will be opening the doors to their NEW Theater & Performing Arts Center on November 7th, 2013! This new center will be a permanent home to Lee Street theatre & St. Thomas Players, two of Salisbury NC's wonderful theatre companies. Both of these companies will use this space to continue to bring new, original, challenging works to Salisbury & the Piedmont Region of North Carolina. The Center will also be used for touring acts to perform at, as well as be available for rentals for events. The Center, which is an adaptive reuse & renovation of a 1920's warehouse, is a wonderful example of redesign & renewal to encourage Salisbury's growing artistic economy.

The opening production in the new performing arts center will be The Hilarious Comedy: The Great Books (Abridged).

Lee Street theatre presents All The Great Books (Abridged) starring Jacob Asher, Jason Roland, & Brian Romans
From the same creators of last year's hit show, The Complete History of America (Abridged), Lee Street theatre is excited to bring you All The Great Books (Abridged). Come witness Brian, Jacob, and Jason as they unleash more comic outrage on an unsuspecting public. Our boys are ready to take you on a ninety-eight minute roller-coaster ride through their compact compendium of the world's great books! Confused by Confucius? Thoroughly thrown by Thoreau? Wish Swift was swifter? Tennyson tinier? Then buckle up and hop aboard as these three cultural guerrillas of Lee Street theatre zip through everything you didn't get around to reading in school.
