Front Porch Players Announces Auditions for THREE DATES, 6/12

The Front Porch Theatre Group will be holding auditions for the new play THREE DATES, written and directed by Stacey Rose. This is a work in development and therefore has no scheduled production dates. The piece is to be workshopped, stage read, and eventually put up with full production qualities. This is a great opportunity for creative growth for new and seasoned actors as it is a walk through the creation process from beginning to completion without the heated rush to get the show up.

Call Backs will be held June 13, 2010 at 1pm at Amelie's Atrium 2824 N. Davidson St. 28205.

You'll need a resume (if available) and be prepared to tell a story (a real one or oNe You make up). There will also be sides from the play available.

THREE DATES is a short play set in the 1980s. It's a play in three acts about Mike Harris, a single parent of two who tends to be pretty unlucky at love. Will Mike shove his love life on the back burner to focus on his burgeoning nursing career and kiddies, or will true love come a-knockin' most unexpectedly?

All characters are African American:
Mike Harris: Late 20s-Mid 30s
Shavonne: 20 something (date 1)
Kim: Late 20s-Early 30s (date 2)
Cheryl: Late 20s-Early 30s (date 3)
Candace Harris: 13 Mike's unruly daughter
Mike Harris II: (Junior) 8-10 Mike's son
