The Charlotte improvisational theatre group, the Chuckleheads, will celebrate their 4th birthday by performing in the "Happy Birthday To Us IV Comedy Improv Musical Variety Extravaganza" at Actor's Theatre of Charlotte, 650 E Stonewall Street, Charlotte, on Saturday, October 8 beginning at 8:00pm.

Tickets are: $10, when reserved prior to Saturday, October 1 at www.planetimprov.com; $15 when reserved between Saturday, October 1 and Friday, October 7; and $20 at the door on the night of the show.

The show will be a combination of improvisational comedy (ala Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Improv-a-ganza, and the Second City,) musical/production numbers, game show elements, and the heavy-duty audience participation that has become a staple of Chuckleheads' shows over the years.

The doors of the Actor's Theatre of Charlotte will open at 7p. A pre-show concert featuring local acoustic artists The Cloers and Ang Medlin will be presented prior to the headline comedy show.

The Chuckleheads are the improvisational troupe of the 501c3 non-profit corporation, Actor's Crib, Inc. and Planet Improv, www.planetimprov.com

Actor's Crib, Inc. and Planet Improv founder, Scott Pacitti, and the leader of the Chuckleheads says, "This show is going to be awesome ! The Actor's Theatre of Charlotte is a great venue. We performed our very first show there. We are including a bunch of elements in this show beyond the standard improv fair so that the audience will have the time of their life."

Throughout the show Mr. Pacitti and the Chuckleheads will be "raffling off" prizes donated by local theatre groups and other Charlotte and vicinity corporations and organizations.

"Our goal is to have at least twenty prize drawings throughout the night, explains Mr. Pacitti. "It is a win win for us and the audience. We raise some much needed funds for the non-profit and the audience gets some valuable prizes."

Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available at the venue before and during the show as will snacks.

Parking is free in the lot surrounding the Actor's Theatre of Charlotte.

Tickets are: $10, when reserved prior to Saturday, October 1 at www.planetimprov.com; $15 when reserved between Saturday, October 1 and Friday, October 7; and $20 at the door on the night of the show.
