"The Commedia Cinderella" is a funny, fast-paced retelling of one of the world's most famous fairytales. Beautiful Cinderella is forced to work as a kitchen maid by her mean Stepmother and two ugly Stepsisters, but thanks to a little help from her Fairy Godmother, she still has a chance to win the hand of the handsome Prince. The Tarradiddle Players use the humorous, physical acting style of Italian Commedia dell'arte to make this production is a lighthearted treat.

"The Commedia Cinderella" is directed by former Tarradiddle Player Steven Ivey and stars the 2011-12 Tarradiddle Players company: Leslie Ann Giles, Nick Kern, Darlene Parker and Stephen Seay. In addition to appearances on Children's Theatre stages, this professional four-person troupe spreads the joy of live theatre across the Southeast. This season, the Tarradiddle Players will travel from Virginia to South Carolina, performing in schools, community centers and towns for audiences who might otherwise never see a live play.
