Die Broadway League Foundation hat die 58 teilnehmenden Regionalen Auszeichnungsprogramme für die 17. jährlichen Jimmy Awards bekannt gegeben, die am Montag, dem 22. Juni 2026, um 19:30 Uhr im Minskoff Theatre am Broadway stattfinden werden.
Die Jimmy Awards sind eine nationale Talentpräsentation, die Schüler aus der Musicalsparte an High Schools im ganzen Land feiert. Jedes teilnehmende regionale Auszeichnungsprogramm wird zwei lokalen Schülerdarstellern höchste Auszeichnungen verleihen und deren Reise nach New York City sponsern, um an den nationalen High School Musical Theatre Awards teilzunehmen, die in dem jährlichen Jimmy Awards-Zeremoniell auf einer Broadwaybühne und im Livestream auf dem Jimmy Awards YouTube-Kanal gipfeln.
Bei der Zeremonie wird ein Gremium von Juroren verschiedene Auszeichnungen und Stipendien verleihen, darunter die Preise für die beste Darstellung eines Schauspielers und die beste Darstellung einer Schauspielerin. Die Jimmy Awards sind ein Branchenführer in der Gestaltung der Zukunft des Live-Auftritts, wobei mehr als 90 Alumni am Broadway und in nationalen Touren auftraten und zahlreiche andere erfolgreiche Karrieren in Film, Fernsehen und Musik genießen.
