candied fruits, aromatic spices, butter,
sugar, flour, and whiskey.

In this humble autobiographical tale,
Capote recalls his impoverished youth in the rural South during the Great Depression and reminds us how important it is to spend time with loved ones, carr ying on our own traditions.
