It's summertime in Tuna, Texas, and as temperatures soar, so do the comedic hijinks. The annual Fourth of July Homecoming Reunion's on the horizon, and residents of Texas' third-smallest town can bet the fireworks won't be the only sparks flying. The hilarious third installment of the knee-slapping Tuna series, Red, White and Tuna, takes over The Playhouse tonight, July 3 through July 15 to treat Caledonia to a heaping plate of the Lone Star State.

Red, White and Tuna picks up a few years after A Tuna Christmas, bringing back far-flung characters just in time for the Homecoming Reunion. Fernie and Bernie, born-again as California flower children, try to bring some peace and love to the town as classmate Stanley, fresh from New Mexico, arrives to share his success in the taxidermy artwork scene. Didi Snavely counts down the days left for UFO-loving husband R.R. to return, Bertha and Arles inch closer to marital bliss, and Vera Carp's eyes are on the latest prize: the Reunion Queen crown.

Featuring beloved characters and adding a few new faces, REd White and Tuna calls for two actors with comic timing faster than a quick-draw showdown. Stepping into all 20 roles are Totem Pole veterans and Caledonia favorites Ray Ficca and Wil Love. As they whirl through costume changes faster than you can say "Don't Mess with Texas," these two comic virtuosos are sure to bring the laughter in this warm-hearted, mile-a-minute comedy. Get your tickets, y'all, and don't miss the show everyone will be talking about!

Following Red, White and Tuna is Moon Over The Brewery (July 17 – 29) featuring Victoria Liebetrau of Carlisle as 13 year old Amanda. Almost, Maine (July 31 – August 12) and closing up the season is Cole, The Life and Songs of an American Musical Legend from August 14 – 26, 2012.

Totem Pole Players (theatre for young audiences) will present Pirates in Space by Sean Fri on July 7, July 21 and August 4 at 10 A.M. at The Playhouse in Caledonia.
