State Theatre Announces 90 YEARS OF WOW Gala

The Follett Family & Follett LLC presents the State Theatre 90 Years of WOW Gala on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the historic StateTheatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA. Andy Daub, former State Theatre Board President and founder of the Friends of the State Theatre, which worked to save the theatre from demise in the 1980's, and his wife Carolyn will be Honorary Chairs of the event.

This one time iconic event will celebrate the amazing history and bright future of the non-profit State Theatre.

The evening will begin with WOW! Cocktail Hour, followed by award winning singer / songwriter Jim Witter taking guests Through the Decades with an original performance created just for this Gala. Following Jim, the main stage will transform into the weathertrends360Dance Stage for the once in a lifetime experience of dancing on the glorious State Theatre stage. Guests will also enjoy themed rooms throughout the Theatre including the upbeat Norris, McLaughlin, & Marcus Club Vintage in the Acopian Ballroom, Nicholas Courts Stardust Lounge in the Gallery, and Famous Smoke Shop Cigar Tent, in honor of the Theatre's resident ghost FRED, on the theatre's parking deck.

"Our 90th gala promises to be a total wow! We guarantee it will be different and fun," says President & CEO Shelley Brown. "After all, this is a one-time celebration, and we intend to do it right. There will be something fabulous going on in every space we have. From dancing on stage to cigars on the roof...we had to do that for Fred the ghost...he loved a good cigar."

In celebration of the State Theatre's 90th Season, Theatre Members can purchase tickets for a special price of $90 until December 15th. Regular tickets are $150. Black Tie or Theatrical Gala attire.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts is a non-profit, historic theatre located in Easton, PA. The Center for the Arts complex also includes the Acopian Ballroom and the contemporary Easton Hospital Gallery. The building is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Opened on the B.F. Keith vaudeville circuit in 1926, the State Theatre is now celebrating its 90th Season.
