Sarah Zahn will perform December Songs at 7:30 pm January 14, 2017 at the Hershey Area Playhouse in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The performance features accompaniment by American Music Theater's Andy Roberts and has been reimagined for the stage by Jennifer Feldser.

Tony Award-winning composer Maury Yeston wrote December Songs for Carnegie Hall's centennial celebration in 1991. He drew inspiration for the piece from Schubert's Wintereisse (Winter Journey). It features ten individual songs telling the story of a woman in New York City dealing with the loss of love. Yeston's other works include the musicals Nine, Phantom and Titanic.

The second act of the evening will feature other musical theater favorites, with surprise performances by some of the area's premiere talents.

The Hershey Area Playhouse is located at 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey, PA 17033. Reserved seating is $15. Call 717-533-8525 or visit www.hersheyareaplayhouse.com/special-events/december-songs.
