PINKALICIOUS Returns to the State Theatre Today

Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament.

The one-hour musical, with book and lyrics by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann and music, lyrics and orchestrations by John Gregor, is based on the popular children's book Pinkalicious by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann.

Show times are today, February 2 at 11 AM & 2 PM. Tickets are $20 (for adults) & $10 (for children 10 & under) and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Regardless of age, everyone in attendance must have a ticket. Bringing infants to any performance is prohibited.

Before The Show Enjoy A Pink Celebration With Sweet & Sassy: Enjoy refreshments as your little one gets a pink nail polish and glitter tattoo for the show. Dancing, fun and refreshments included. Victoria Kann is the award winning illustrator and author of the picture book series featuring the whimsical and effervescent character, Pinkalicious. Victoria co-authored and illustrated the first two books, Pinkalicious, Purplicious as well as the play, Pinkalicious The Musical. She wrote and illustrated Goldilicious and is working on several more books about the adventures and antics of Pinkalicious.

The Pinkalicious character was inspired by Victoria's real life daughters - two girls with vibrant imaginations who love cupcakes, dress up, playing princess, and all things pink. Recently Victoria's husband, a toy designer, built a tree house for their Princess Pinkerbelles. She often hears galloping in the house and wonders if it's Goldilicious or just her Pinkerbellas.

Elizabeth Kann is a doctor who has yet to see an actual case of Pinkititis. She co-authored the text of Pinkalicious, Pinkalicious The Musical and Purplicious with her sister, Victoria Kann. Her writing has appeared in a variety of newspaper and print publications. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, who is also a doctor, and their three children.
