Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg Presents HAIRSPRAY, JR. This Weekend

Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg is proud to present the musical Hairspray, Jr., their 2015 Summer Youth Theater production, with performances at 8:00 PM tonight, August 6, and August 7 and at 2:30 PM on August 7 and 8.

From the opening notes of, "Good Morning, Baltimore," through the finale, Hairspray, Jr. is a delight with its positive message and uproarious sense of humor. Tracy Turnblad, a "spunky, chunky" teenager has one big dream - to dance on the Corny Collins show. With the help of her mother, Edna Turnblad and DJ Motormouth Maybelle, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star as her dream comes true. Not without some bumps in the road, Hairspray, Jr. celebrates a wide cross section of students, diversity, and high energy musical entertainment.

LTM welcomes LTM Board Member, Michael Zorger to direct and musically direct this production. He is supported by Choreographers, Rachel and Rebecca Robertson, Producer, Bryden McGarry, and a team of parents and supporters. The staff and cast have worked very hard to make this a fully integrated process. They have created arts, crafts, food, and photographs that you may purchase in the Library of LTM.

Hairspray, Jr. is performed with special arrangement with Music Theater International. All performances will be held at the Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg, 915 S.
