Comedy Star Lewis Black Returns to the Strand Stage, 11/21

By:

On Nov. 21, 2014, downtown York's historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center will welcome back sarcastic funnyman Lewis Black in his new show, The Rant is Due, as the newest addition to the Strand's comedy lineup. Tickets are on sale now to Strand-Capitol members and go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m.

Lewis is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today. He executes a brilliant trifecta as stand-up comedian, actor and author. Receiving critical acclaim, he performs over 200 nights a year to sold- out audiences throughout Europe, New Zealand, Canada and The United States.

Best known for his appearances on Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, he is also a popular guest on late-night television shows including Larry King Live, Late Night with Conan O'Brian and The Late Show with David Letterman. Lewis' live performances provide a cathartic release of anger and disillusionment for his audience. Lewis yells so they don't have to! A passionate performer who is more ticked-off optimist than mean-spirited curmudgeon. Lewis is the rare comic who can cause an audience to laugh themselves into incontinence while making compelling points about the absurdity of our world.

Lewis Black will perform at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now to Strand-Capitol members and go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m. For additional information about this performance, visit www.StrandCapitol.org or call the Strand-Capitol box office at 717-846-1111.
