The AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. 60th Anniversary Celebration is celebrating the legacy of co-founder Dr. Muhal Richard Abrams, with original music, films, a panel/listening party, spread across four days in October and November 2025, Mistress of Ceremonies Richarda Abrams. In October AACM New York City Chapter, Inc launches their 60th Anniversary Celebration at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music in Manhattan, with a collaboration with The S.E.M.Ensemble, under the direction of Petr Kotik, who has been collaborating with AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. since 1995, at the invitation of Dr. Muhal Richard Abrams. Our members have received degrees from top Universities and have expertise in many areas ie. artists, painters, and novelists. Because of the AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. our members have gained international recognition as accomplished musicians and composers, many of whom have been invited by renowned orchestras throughout the USA and Europe to perform their music.
