The Emelin Theatre Announces January Music Events

Just in time to get rid of those winter blues, The Emelin Theatre has a full slate of music events this January 2013. Ranging from the remarkable vocals by Grammy Award winner Shelby Lynne and the dynamic live show by the new generation of salsa La Excelencia to the guitarist and violin virtuosos Beppe Gambetta and Peter Ostroushko and the distinctive music of The Fred Eaglesmith Traveling Steam Show, the Emelin has something to offer to every type of music fan.

Never one to go with the crowd, Grammy Award winner Shelby Lynne
continues to stand apart. Lynne showcases her remarkable vocals,
reflective lyrics, and eclectic Americana melodies.

La Excelencia

A not-to-be missed dynamic live show mixing the retro and the
contemporary music of salsa going back to the more eclectic period
when salsa was street music, playing with spirit and integrity and
writing socially relevant music.

An Italian guitarist in love with American music combines talents with
a Ukrainian American mandolin and violin virtuoso for a magical
evening of cross-pollinated roots, jazz, and folk.

This unmistakable singer-songwriter blends such genres as rock'n'roll,
country, folk, Americana, blues and bluegrass to fashion his own
distinctive brand of rhythmic rocking electro-acoustic North American
music.
