Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Welcomes New Staff

By: May. 09, 2012

Maggie Whitlum, Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF), has announced that Laurent Fisher and David Webber have joined the professional staff.

Laurent Fisher joins HVSF as Director of Development. With over twenty years of not-for-profit development experience, Ms. Fisher was most recently the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation. Prior to that, she was the Director of Major Gifts and the Alumni Campaign at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City for thirteen years.

David Webber joins HVSF as Director of Finance following a twenty-year career in securities analysis with Alex. Brown & Sons, Warburg Dillon Read, and First Albany Capital.  Prior to that he was a journalist for 10 years, working as an editor for the American Chemical Society’s weekly news magazine, Chemical & Engineering News. Webber was a member of the HVSF Board, on which he served as Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee, until resigning in 2011 in order to devote himself full-time to managing the finances of HVSF.

Maggie Whitlum commented, “Both these appointments will be critical to support the continuing creative growth and artistic success of HVSF. We are very lucky to have found such skilled and experienced individuals to join our core management team and I am looking forward to working with them.”
