In recognition of its 60th Anniversary, the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival/Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Inc. announces a new global outreach initiative designed to recognize its storied alumni and the scope of its legacy.

Producing Artistic Director, Brett Smock states, "It goes without saying that our legacy is due to the incredible people that have contributed to our success. 'The Legacy Project' is designed for us to reconnect with anyone that has ever worked for the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival/ Merry Go Round Playhouse, MGR Youth Theatre, The PiTCH, in an administrative, production, volunteer, or internship capacity, or served on our Board of Directors. We want to hear from you and to engage our extended family during this celebratory year."

The purpose of this initiative is to encourage former employees who may have worked for the company, in any capacity, to reconnect with the organization. In an effort to recognize the breadth and depth of its extended family, the theatre hopes to collect 30-second testimonials from former employees and contributors. No role or tenure is too small. A diversity of roles, eras and perspectives helps encapsulate the organization's lifespan through the perspective of the people that helped shape its illustrious history.

Any former employees are encouraged to submit a written testimonial or a short video of less than 30 seconds. Please submit emails to Legacy@FingerLakesMTF.com. Please submit video testimonials to FingerLakesMTF.com/About-Us/Legacy-Project/.

Smock added, "Our goal is to reach as many people as possible - to acknowledge them, thank them and have them join us to celebrate not only sixty years of existence, but sixty years of theatre-making, arts in education, investment in the next generation and contribution to community. We look forward to receiving a ton of responses."
