Black 47 | $25
Jan 21, 2012 @ 8 pm
Black 47 pumps out thoroughly Irish rock 'n' roll with raucous, heartfelt performances and an unblinking socio-political outlook that inspired Time magazine to write, "Finally, rock 'n' roll that means something again." The band broke onto the scene with an album produced by The Cars' Rick Ocasek and since then, their Signature Sound has paved the way for such bands as Flogging Molly and The Dropkick Murphys.
BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet | $39
Feb 19, 2012 @ 8 pm
Blending traditional Cajun with elements of zydeco, New Orleans jazz, Tex-Mex, country and blues, BeauSoleil serves up a fiery musical gumbo that has locked them in as the best Cajun group around. From The Grand Ole Opry to Newport Folk, from concert hall to dance floor, the Grammy-winning music of BeauSoleil has captivated audiences the world over.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo | $59
Mar 21, 2012 @ 8 pm
The voices from the blockbuster animated film The Lion King come to the Emelin! Hailing from South Africa, this a cappella group blends South African music with traditional gospel and has performed with everyone from Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris to Michael Jackson and Ben Harper. Made famous by their appearance on Paul Simon's hit album Graceland, Ladysmith Black Mambazo's performances are not to be missed!
