CRT Hosts Annual Mystery Dinner Theatre Fund Raiser

By: Mar. 04, 2020

Laughs, mystery and a great meal! All that is promised when the Cortland Repertory Theatre Guild hosts their annual fund raiser mystery dinner theatre for three performances; at this time, the performance on Saturday, March 14 is sold out, though a wait list is available. Tickets are still available, but going fast, for Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21. Doors will open at 6:30PM with the performance and meal beginning at 7:00PM

This year, the Acme Mystery Company presents the comedy mystery DEAD SILENT, or FLORENCE OF MORAVIA. In this hysterical, interactive live show, it's 1927 and local radio personality Nevelle Haspin invites the audience to the broadcast of a gala reception. Featured will be silent film diva Lorraine Bowes who is making a film portraying notorious WWI spy Florence Goode (a.k.a. Hata Mahma). Joining her are her leading man Roland DeHay and her agent Harold "Hawk" Toohey. Also lurking about will be gossip columnist Helena Handbasquet. But be careful, gentle audience members! These celebrities autograph with poisoned pens!

Tickets to this family friendly production are $50.00 per person, including a buffet style dinner with dessert. Catering will be supplied by Linani's Catering of Homer, and will include choices of beef pepper steak, chicken marsala, stuffed shells with sauces, rice, mashed potatoes, carrots, salad, bread, assorted desserts, coffee and tea. A beer/wine cash bar will also be available.

Tickets are available for purchase by calling 800-427-6160 or by visiting CRT Downtown at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Winter/Spring hours are Mon-Fri 9:00 - 5:00, and on Saturdays from noon - 7:30 when a performance is scheduled for that evening. Sorry, mystery dinner tickets are not available online.
