Bonita Jackson to Bring Solo Show EMPTY VALUABLES to Bridge Street Theatre

By:
Bridge Street Theatre presents EMPTY VALUABLES, a one-woman show in two acts written and performed by Bonita Jackson, on Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 in the afternoon in the BST Speakeasy, 44 West Bridge Street in the Village of Catskill.

Here's how Bonita Jackson describes EMPTY VALUABLES: "A journey of a mother and three of her daughters who all never meet. All four dig through their separate journeys, but are linked in their struggle for self-value from the adversities they face. Who assigns us value? Who takes our value? What happens when you become an Empty Valuable? Take this true life journey with these four women who dare to breathe life into dirt. A genuine tale filled with broken laughter, honest lies, filthy quality, and loving hatred. The Journey put simply: Love, lost, fractured, hungry, identity ... reclamation."

"We're thrilled to be bringing Bonita Jackson here to Catskill," says John Sowle, Bridge Street Theatre's Managing Director. "As with our presentation of Aizzah Fatima's DIRTY PAKI LINGERIE last season, we want Bridge Street Theatre to be a place where audiences can hear and be entertained by voices and points of view that are heard onstage far too infrequently. And the message Bonita's play has to share is urgent, timely, and so important."

EMPTY VALUABLES will be presented for one performance only on Saturday March 26 at 2:00pm. Admission is $10 and tickets go on sale at the door one half hour prior to the performance.
