WeHaKee Camp for Girls

Camp WeHaKee is an overnight summer camp for girls ages 7-17 on Hunter Lake in Winter, Wisconsin, in the state's Northwoods. The camp has operated for more than 100 summers and is accredited by the American Camp Association. It offers over 40 activities across four areas: the arts (pottery, painting, theatre and music), horseback riding (trail rides, horse care and grooming), sports (soccer, tennis and volleyball), and adventure (kayaking, sailing and other water sports); a new climbing wall was added recently. Alongside two-week Girls Camp sessions, WeHaKee runs a Family Camp, a Mother/Daughter Weekend and a Leadership Academy. Camp facilities include the waterfront on Hunter Lake and Lauerwood Lodge. The camp is led by director Stacie Simpson, and families can request session dates, pricing and application details through an online interest form.
