Talisman Programs

Talisman Camps is an ACA-accredited overnight summer camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Zirconia, North Carolina, serving young people ages 6 to 22 with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other learning differences. Operating since 1980, the nonprofit camp runs eight specialized programs grouped by age and support need: Discovery (6-7), Foundations and Sight (8-13), Insight and Quest (14-17), Young Adult (18-22), plus Leadership, Krewe, and Flora & Fauna specialty tracks. Sessions run 6, 13, or 27 days. Staff are trained specifically in autism, ADHD, and learning differences, and the camp maintains a 3:1 camper-to-counselor ratio with consistent routines and visual schedules. Activities include hiking, kayaking, tree climbing, caving, and off-site expeditions. Financial aid is offered for every session.

Camp is full for Summer 2026; Summer 2027 registration opens October 1, 2026. In-between stays can be arranged between consecutive sessions. Financial aid available for every session.
