Theatre summer camp in Albany, New York
Summer Studio at theREP (formerly listed as Summer Stage Young Acting Company) is a two-week day program from the Collaborative School of the Arts, presented in collaboration with the Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York. Students ages 10-14 train with professional theatre artists in scene work, improvisation, voice, movement and storytelling, and spend time both onstage and behind the scenes at Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany. Hands-on acting labs and theatre games keep the work engaging, and the session ends with a studio showcase for friends and family in the Lauren and Harold Iselin Studio Theatre. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; tuition assistance is available.
